Because the end of the Minimalist TTRPG Jam 4 was coming up, I put together a System Reference Document (SRD) for the upcoming game Protoplastic, offering a generic version of the underlying rule set. Following in the footsteps of terms like “Powered by the Apocalypse”, the adjective for a derivative system is “Built out of Plastic, or “BooP”, because it sounds amusing.
This SRD was made to conform to the jam rules, and therefore presented with no art and the simplest possible layout. This is why the text shows no regard for page breaks – that was part of the rules! It’s also fairly messy, since it needed to be done before the deadline. In the future I will come back and update this with more considered formatting and the more refined version of the rules that will result from Protoplastic actually being finished.
Is it absurd to make an SRD of an unfinished game? Arguably. Do I apologize? No.
